Wollongong Memorial Gardens Working Bee

When:
6 August 25 - 6 August 25 9am

Are you looking for a volunteering opportunity that gives back to our community and teaches you some new gardening skills?

We're holding a working bee at Wollongong Memorial Gardens as part of our annual maintenance program.

As part of our volunteer day our garden technicians will demonstrate correct pruning techniques for roses, which you can use in your own garden. We will also share best care and maintenance tips, based on our team's many years of experience.

You'll also get to learn about some of the other tasks involved in looking after the Memorial Gardens. Our maintenance staff will be on hand to help and give advice.

The day will include:

  • A morning working session
  • A light lunch and tea / coffee
  • An afternoon working session.

You're welcome to come for part or all of the day, depending on what suits you.

Please wear suitable shoes and clothing for gardening and outdoors activity, and bring your hat and water bottle. You can also bring your own gloves and secateurs if you like, otherwise we will provide any equipment you need on the day.

If you'd like to attend, please RSVP by 25 July by phone on (02) 4227 7780 or email our office.
